I hate to sound like “that person”, but the last couple of months have been crazy for us. To tie in with the usual December madness, we figured, why not try and buy a house before Christmas? We cut it pretty fine and it definitely felt like it wasn’t going to happen at one point. Somehow though, we managed to pull it off. We bought a house!
Even though the process felt like an eternity, we actually found “the one” on the first weekend we started looking at houses. Being first home buyers, we were seriously considering building so we could get the government grant. Once we had a look at what was around though, we quickly changed our minds!
Our dream house felt just like that, a dream. In fact, after looking at it we were fairly certain it was not even a possibility for us. A lot of things had to fall into place to make it happen but somehow they all did. Don’t get me wrong, it was an incredibly stressful process. But after persevering through multiple setbacks, we finally moved in this weekend just past.
We managed to squeeze the move in just before our trip to Victoria and actually got everything unpacked. While I know that returning back to Townsville after a month at home will be hard, having a house of our own to return to will make it so much better. I know it sounds lame, but it really feels like this house was made for us. We are feeling incredibly blessed and am so grateful to God for all he has provided for us.
I hope you like the family photos we managed to get, they were taken in the backyard of our old house on our last weekend living there. I’m actually pretty impressed we managed to get all four of us in the shot.
Ok, so we made it through the move. It’s now time to relaaaaaax. Next stop, Geelong! See you soon, fam!
