Last Friday night my friends Katie, Justine and I attended the L’Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival, Runway 06 to be exact, which was presented by Cosmopolitan. Ironically, it was the same one I attended last year! The runway show featured the following designers: Blessed are the Meek, búl, cylk, Lucette, Rodeo Show, Saveus and Watson x Watson. The highlight for me was definitely Blessed are the Meek; I loved their soft creamy pieces contrasted with structured digital prints and the occasional splash of leather.
Two shows I really wanted to see but unfortunately didn’t get a chance to attend was the Sportsgirl National Graduate Showcase and the Red Carpet Runway.
Sportsgirl National Graduate Showcase
The 12 designers featured are such an insanely talented group of fashion graduates. It’s so exciting to see that this is just the beginning of their professional fashion careers.

Red Carpet Runway
The Red Carpet Runway featured the following designers: Akira Isogawa, Aurelio Costarella, Collette Dinnigan, Gwendolynne, Rachel Gilbert and Toni Maticevski. I love formalwear; these gowns have actually inspired my own wedding fantasies – and I’m NOT a wedding fantasizer by any means. Absolutely breathtaking.
