Eighteen

Eighteen

Yesterday I turned eighteen, it was a very special day indeed. The day consisted of shopping in the city and feeling rather carefree, strangely. All the food was wonderful; lunch, dinner and of course birthday mud cake! Not to mention the wine.

In the evening my best friend and I went out for drinks, which turned out to be quite the miniature expedition. Lots of walking in heels – needless to say, my feet will be taking a break for the next few days. As fate would have it, I was not asked for ID. This was slightly disappointing, for I was really anticipating eagerly waving my learners permit in the face of some bartender. However, it makes me feel confident in knowing that I look like I am of legal age, which I officially am. I can’t say I won’t miss the underage days; being a little illegal was always such fun. I’m excited though, for this new ‘adult’ world I have seemingly entered.

My favourite gift is the brand new netbook I received from my parents. Hopefully, I’ll be doing some blogging on it.
