A few months ago, talks of a potential trip to Paris later in the year started to formulate. After a pretty hectic work year, I decided that booking this trip would be my reward for persevering through it. So I started a savings plan and actually stuck to it and after much fantasising and a lot of planning, I am so excited to announce that this trip to Paris is no longer a dream and is officially happening next month!
The very thought of getting on a plane and several hours later, actually landing in Paris still baffles me. It’s always been a cliched dream of mine (yeah, yeah, I know) but nevertheless always a dream I kept in the back of my mind. I still can’t believe a trip to Paris is actually happening for real now.
I think one of the things I am most excited and scared about is exploring the city on my own. I will have quite a bit of time to myself while we’re there and I fully intend on getting out of my comfort zone. My French is not strong, so I’m looking forward to seeing what kind of adventures I get into! My best friend Katie – who recently moved to the UK – will be joining us for a few days in Paris as well, which is something I have been anticipating since she left.
We head off on the 13th of October and will be there for 2 weeks. If any of you will be in Paris around then, please let me know! I would love to meet you.
