Before heading home for the holidays we thought we’d have ourselves a little Christmas party at our house. The result was a lovely night in spent with friends, fuelled by an abundance of cheese, carbs and perhaps just a smidge too many cocktails…
We decorated our house a little early this year and obviously had to make sure our front door was looking festive for our friends’ arrival!
I spent a lot of time on Pinterest in anticipation of our little Christmas party and just the season in general. As I’m sure you know, once you start looking at Christmas inspiration it’s very hard to stop. I found this recipe for ginger cranberry gin fizz cocktails and was really happy with how they turned out. They were super simple to make and went down very easily. Interpret that how you like!
As for food we kept it really simple with some platters and a cobb loaf.
After we’d had a few drinks it was deemed imperative we get a group photo in front of the tree. As you can see, when army guys get group photos together sometimes they just can’t help but get into character.
There’s aways one…
Our friends Sean and Rachel kindly gifted us this amazing custom door mat. How cool is it?
Wallace loved all the attention from our guests.
Us girls really got into the Christmas spirit with our festive head bands!
A little Christmas party felt like the perfect way to close out our second year in Townsville with good friends that have been with us from the start. Will you be hosting any holiday events this year?
