2013 // End

2013 was a big year; full of changes that I will certainly feel even more so in 2014. I love looking back on last years post and actually knowing that I made the big decisions I always knew I wanted to make. Even if only subconsciously at the time, it’s really quite scary to realise that deep down I already knew that something was going to have to change.

This year I did a lot more travel than I anticipated I would; Paris & London certainly took me by surprise. I was also really lucky to have an exotic holiday experience in Thailand and Singapore. I miss those crystal clear waters and the local cuisine!

This year I got to see more of my favourite bands and artists than I could have ever imagined. After years of listening to countless albums and obsessing over songs, I finally got to be there and see them in the flesh. Linkin Park, Blink 182, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Killers, Crystal Castles, MIA, Swedish House Mafia, Calvin Harris, Metallica – WOW. I also welcomed home my good friend Luke, after 2 years living in Canada. It’s so good to have him home!

This year I lost my best friend to the UK, but it only made our bond stronger. I miss you so much, Katie!

This year I dyed my hair for the first time, after years of contemplating it. Brunette life? I think I like blonde life better, but at least I’ve done it.

This year I quit my job and got accepted into a Styling & Creative Direction course at the Whitehouse Institue of Design. I know deep within my very soul that I made the right choice. I also started working at Sportsgirl – I have dreamt of working there since I was an overweight 14-year-old. I finally made it!

This year I took It’s A Dull Life to the next level and re-discovered my passion for blogging.

A big thank-you to everyone who supported It’s A Dull Life in 2013, I couldn’t have done it without you.

2014 is going to an absolutely huge one, I hope you have an amazing New Year!
