A couple of weeks ago I attended The Blogcademy Melbourne, which is a two-day blogging workshop run by three prominent names in the blogging business. Gala Darling, Kat Williams and Shauna Haider sure are inspiring women, so I tried to soak up as much knowledge as I could from the class.
Blogging is something I have become passionate about over the past 5 years, it is my favourite hobby and something I hope I will always find the time to do. Gala Darling’s site was the first blog I ever really read, I stumbled on it when I was on the hunt for pictures from Marie Antoinette way back in 2007. So, when I found out she and two of her blogging friends were coming to Australia to host this the Blogcademy, I figured I had to go.
Our Blogcademy Melbourne class consisted of around 35, and what an amazing bunch they were. It was such an honour to meet so many different women with such diverse blogs – from graphic designers and photographers to fitness gurus and small business owners – the calibre certainly was impressive. The energy of the group was electric, everyone was so dedicated and ready to learn – so different from my school days! I guess that’s what happens when you’re an adult who chooses to pay for a class, not get forced into one. I can absolutely guarantee not one of us left without feeling completely inspired and bursting at the seam with ideas.
Mid-way through day 1 we were surprised with an impromptu hula hooping class! Was I good at this? Short answer: No. It was a good way to break up the day, though!
As was eating, I loved our individual lunch containers!

All up it was an invaluable experience, I came home with a whole different perspective on my blog, bursting with new ideas that I’m excited to incorporate into it. That and I made some great new blogging friends!
If you have never taken an adult class/workshop, I highly recommend it.
