April Recap

April

As March turned into April, things really started to get exciting for us, as our wedding was fast approaching. With Easter already behind us, it was time for both us and the autumn weather to really get serious. Turns out April ended up being the hottest on record in Australia…so there’s that. Needless to say, we persevered and it eventually started to feel like my favourite time of year again.

March Recap

March

Every time I do a monthly re-cap, I seem to get even further behind than the last, so I’m going to make it my aim to get back on schedule. March was a transitional month, both seasonally and in an emotional sense as well. The start of March was still really warm, in fact, from memory, I believe most of the month was. I’m normally a little more patient with March’s weather, as it always seems to lean towards the summery side. Now April on the other hand, don’t get me started on April…

Fuschia Knit

Fuschia Knit

Hello there! Long time no talk! It seems that I am actually quite good at putting together content for this little blog of mine, but not so great at posting it. A lot has happened in the last month or so though, so I feel I have an adequate excuse. The main thing being, on the 26th of May Jordan and I were officially married! While we excitedly await the official wedding photos, I thought it’d be for the best to fill this space with some photos from before then…

Alexander Wang ‘Rockie’ Bag

Bag

In the time that I have had this blog, I can comfortably say that I have spent nearly all of that time dreaming of the day I could finally buy an Alexander Wang bag. For years it was the ‘Rocco’ bag, sported by celebrities such as Mary-Kate Olsen, Ashley Tisdale, Hilary Duff and Kristin Cavallari. Every time I’ve gotten a new job the question has come up – am I in a position spend $1000+ on a handbag? The answer, of course, has always been no. I like to attribute that to the fact that part of me is still capable of being realistic about what sum of money is reasonable to spend on things. Perhaps I have retained some of the advice my Dad gave me about money after all!?

February Recap

February

February feels like so long ago now! I must admit it has taken me awhile to put together this post; ideally, I would like to try and do monthly re-caps going forward but I was particularly wary of the fact that I didn’t take a lot of photos in February. That being said, it was an important month, one that I ultimately decided was worthy of posting about, even if the majority of the photos I took were of boring plates of salmon and veg…

Keep on reading for my re-cap of February!

Chanel Fall 2018 Ready to Wear Collection

Chanel Fall 2018 Ready to Wear Collection

It’s been a while since I’ve posted a collection on the blog, which is something I used to do quite frequently. In particular, when I first started this blog back in 2009. Fashion is something I have always loved, but as the years have gone by I have found myself more drawn to styling than design. Every now and then though, a collection will take my breath away.

Lace Sleeves

Hi there! It feels like it’s been a while since I’ve done an outfit post, mainly because with saving comes no purchasing of new clothes. Fortunately for me, it turns out that I already have plenty…

January Recap

January

Whoah, baby, January is already behind us! The past month absolutely flew by for me, and given the relaxed reputation January has, I was certainly not expecting it to.

2018 Resolutions

Resolutions

Hello, 2018! Oh how fresh you feel, how clean your pages are, how mysterious you are. What will this year bring? I love the feeling of not knowing and I am getting so excited for all the endless possibilities that lie in wait.

I figured to kick this year off on the blog, I’d go through some of my resolutions I have for the year. The last few years I’ve been pretty lazy with resolutions, partially because I think a lot of the ones people make (myself included) are much too idealistic, but also because I don’t want to reduce myself to only making goals after Christmas when I am at my most fat and disappointed in myself. This year I decided to make some realistic goals for myself, ones that will be measured in a reasonable way. It’s not all going to happen tomorrow, even though I already feel like I’m 9 days behind! Behold, my New Year’s resolution for 2018.
