I’m sure you can all relate when I say that our Easter this year felt a little different than usual. I must admit, I felt a little sad over the weekend. Not being able to go to church was harder than I thought it would be. We are currently doing church through Zoom, which of course, I am very grateful for. It just isn’t the same though. That, and I think the holidays always amplify my emotions – either in a more positive or negative way. In this case, our Easter this year made me miss home a lot.
That being said, I tried to make the most of the weekend for what it was. It was Evie’s first Easter which was exciting and although she’s still a little too young for chocolate and Easter egg hunts, Easter Sunday still felt a little more special than usual. Seeing as she probably won’t ever get a chance to wear this dress out of the house, I put her in it for the occasion!
I baked Easter cupcakes over the weekend as well, which was a welcome distraction. I also visited multiple supermarkets to stock up on Easter chocolate. Turns out toilet paper isn’t the only thing people are hoarding…
How was your Easter weekend?
