Katie and I had high tea on the weekend, something we’ve both always wanted to do. The food was absolutely scrumptious (I’ve been looking for a reason to use that word) and we drank beautiful french champagne and ate sweet and savoury scones – amongst a variety of other treats. I also had chai tea which was really fragrant and lovely, I love chai.
Our high tea took place at Mamor Chocolates which is in Collingwood. All of their chocolates are handmade and they’re known for their somewhat daring flavours – absinthe and kangaroo salami anyone? We weren’t taking any risks though and delighted in some more traditional flavours. The inside was very burlesque, lots of red velvet, chandeliers and antique furniture; very fancy. If you’re in Melbourne and after a high tea experience, it’s definitely worth checking out.
